Blinky Lights
Noun. Common geek term for the blinking lights on networking and computer
hardware.
Everyone knows that the more blinky lights a piece of hardware has, the
more important it is. Look at the WOPR from the movie War Games ;)
Geeky Interests and Projects
I have been using computers since I was about 5 when I started on a Commodore VIC-20.
I started programming shortly thereafter on the C-64. I have a BS in Computer Science
from RIT.
My current full-time employment is as Principal Technical Architect at Mediaguide Inc.
but I continue to maintain my side business Cube Host.
These two pursuits in addition to married life have put a dent into contributing to open-source projects in recent years.
On most days I am a system administrator and developer and occasionally an Oracle or MySQL DBA. I prefer to work
in Linux with C++, C, PHP and Perl, but am equally comfortable in the Windows world when the
need arises.

Jobs
While I am currently employed full-time, I am not opposed to entertaining offers for full-time work in the Northeastern US.
